The South Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency carried out reforestation by planting five pink tabebuya trees in the Pasar Minggu Public Cemetery area, Ragunan, South Jakarta.
Have good resistance to climate change
Head of the Sub-agency, Herlina Merinda said the planting is part of the Friday Planting program, which is carried out as an effort to green and organize areas that previously looked barren due to the lack of trees.

Herlina explained that the five pink tabebuya trees were chosen because they have high aesthetic value, especially when the flowers are in bloom.
"This type of tree is also considered to have good resistance to climate change and a root system that is friendly to the surrounding infrastructure," she explained.
Meanwhile, one of the local residents, Sukamto appreciated the effort in improving the area's aesthetic.
"It's very beautiful, especially since we know that this pink tabebuia flower is very beautiful when it blooms. It will certainly make this area even more beautiful," he admitted.
